Cicilia is lucky – she goes to school. Because 70% of the children in South Sudan have no access to education. Until recently, Cicilia was one of them. Children are the main victims of the civil war in South Sudan. Due to the war, they often have a huge educational gap and are traumatised. At the children’s home Muhaba, these children receive access to education and psychosocial support in a protected learning environment to help them to cope with the terrible experiences of the war. Unfortunately, the long way to the children’s home Muhaba is connected with many dangers. Despite the possibility of education and food, many girls do not come to the children’s home Muhaba for fear of being raped on their way to school. Therefore we are building a girls› dormitory for Cicilia and her friends at the children’s home Muhaba. Please support us! With CHF 50.-, Cicilia gets a mattress or bed frame. Mission 21 is a non-profit, ZEWO- and EduQua-certified organisation operating internationally to bring about a fairer and more peaceful world.
